Mr. Slambeaux began making its Original sauce in 1983 on a small farm in the mountains of Washington County, Maryland. A lovely area that exuded a feeling of a bygone era. Land was sacred, people were genuine, and food was at the center of life. Meals were made from scratch using only the finest ingredients grown, raised or prepared at home. This is how life was meant to be.

When the local folk approved of the sauce, we knew it had a winner. It’s just a shame it took us this long to let you have a taste! So here it is, and all you have to do is “Slap it on, and lick it off!”


Where did the name Mr. Slambeaux come from? After a race horse name Mr. Slambo. Mr. Slambo didn't win many races, but had a bold character, and everyone loved him. Sort of like our products. We changed the spelling to Mr. Slambeaux to show our love for french cajun cusine. Many of our products take on the characteristics of french cajun.
